The key to success for all people lies in the development of the society through sustainable means. We value and honour this truth. Abiding by this, each year, Hidaya Foundation Trust assists different social business ventures, where the generated value is redistributed among the people to increase the average purchasing power of the group of families overall.
Targeting of such social ventures is done at different aggregate levels and requisite training, infrastructure support and financial aid is provided to them for successful implementation of their social business.
Hidaya Foundation Trust intends to explore deep in to this sector and create a social business incubation centre in the Howrah district, through which generations of the future can benefit.
Cultural
Understanding and accepting your own culture, in every walk of life, is the shortest way to sustainable development for any group of people. We, at Hidaya Foundation Trust realize this need and work towards making the indigenous population realize it, by organizing cultural gatherings and brainstorming seminars.
Annual Majlis-e-Iftar is held at various locations of Hidaya during Ramazan, to spread the message of abstinence from desires and unity among people.
Hidaya Foundation Trust has voiced its protest against the atrocities being committed upon the Rohingya Muslims by organizing and leading a mass protest rally, largest among all apolitical rallies happening in West Bengal. Hidaya Foundation Trust was one of the leading organisations to lead the rally of about 120,000 people that marched to the Myanmar Embassy in Kolkata and submitted a deputation to express their protest. Sanitation
Right from the onset of Hidaya Foundation Trust’s field activities, sanitation development has been one of its key drives.
Access to basic clean sanitation is a right of every person, which is not the reality in the rural areas of India. Hence Hidaya Foundation Trust has strived to assist rural families in building and maintaining clean bathrooms in every household. Awareness camps are organized to educate the masses on the benefits of cleanliness.
